While the gold hoard was found well after the Copper Scroll period, it is still a very interesting treasure and provides a basis of the amount of gold floating around the region of that era.

Albeit this isn't true Copper Scroll news, but news nonetheless. Somehow all the coverage seemed to miss a very significant find in 2010 of a near-mule gold coin. Of the Ptolymaic dynasty, Only 2 known.
